Alumni profile

The W. P. Carey Alumni Book Club loved reading Brené Brown’s Dare to Lead™, which encourages us to rumble with vulnerability, live into our values, brave trust, and learn to rise — all lessons relevant to the increasingly uncertain times we now navigate together. Here, ASU staff, alumni, and friends share their perspectives on daring leadership in 2020 and beyond.

For Jerry Coleman’s positive impact on the local economy through locally owned and operated businesses, the W. P. Carey School honored him with the 2020 Spirit of Enterprise Award. He’s the 24th recipient of this premier celebration of entrepreneurship in the Valley that recognizes businesses for ethics, energy, and excellence in entrepreneurship.

Each February, it is our pleasure to celebrate and share the stories of W. P. Carey Cupids — couples who met and began their lives together at ASU’s W. P. Carey School of Business. For Cameron Heath (BS Accountancy ’15, MAAC ’17) and Savannah Kralovec (BS Supply Chain Management/Economics ’16), it all began with the choice to eat fresh.

Mark Bi and Ally Le first crossed paths during Honors Introduction to Information Systems (CIS 236) class on their first day of freshman year during fall 2012.
